This book is jam-packed with paper crafts with a nature focus and a healthy smattering of science too. There’s activities to cut out and make on every page, including jumping froghoppers, a duck whistle, beehive-like honeycomb, piecing together a dinosaur skeleton and making paper flowers bloom by sitting them on a saucer of water.
Each activity looks like fun, with vibrant green and yellow images contrasting with black and white. The activities are clearly explained and extra materials are usually things found at home, like scissors, pen and string. My 8-year-olds could complete most things on their own.
Animal Activity is written by Isabel Thomas, illustrated by Nikalas Catlow, published by Bloomsbury.
